1.Scope
This specification covers polyamide-imide enamelled copper rectangular wires, class 220 to be used for windings and wiring of electric machine and apparatus electrical instrument.
2. Type and designation¡¡Type and designation are shown in Table 1.
   
3. Insulation film  
The insulating film of the wire shall be made by baking polyamide-imide insulating varnish class 220 on the conductor uniformly.

4.Dimension
Measurement of dimensions shall be carried out using the test methods refered to in 6.2.Dimensions is shown in attached table 1.
5.Characteristics  
The characteristics of wire shall comply with table 2,when tested by 6.0.  
6.Test methods
6.1 Dimensions
The dimensions shall be measured by using of a micrometer specified in MW 1000-1997 3.2.
6.2 Flexibility and adherence
The adherence test shall comply with MW 1000-1997 3.3.
6.3 Elongation
The elongation test shall comply with MW 1000-1997 3.4.
6.4 Heat shock
The heat shock test shall comply with MW 1000-1997 3.5£¬the thermostatic box kept in advance at 240¡À5¡æ,and elongation shall be 10%.
6.5 Spring Elongation Number
The Spring Elongation Number test shall comply with MW 1000-1997 3.8.2.
6.6 Break-down voltage
The breakdown voltage test shall comply with MW 1000-1997 3.7.2.
6.7 Conductor resistance
The electrical resistance test shall comply with ASTM B193.
6.8 Cut-through
The cut-through test shall comply with MW 1000-1997 3.50(Only to reference).
7.Inspection
The inspection shall be carried out using the test methods 5, on the items specified from 4. If the purchaser and the supplies have an agreement, some items can be omitted.

8.Packaging and net weight per coil
8.1 Packing
The wire shall be wound uniformly and compactly on the spool, without tangle.
8.2 Net weight per coil
The net weight per coil shall comply with table 3.
8.3 Number of lines on a bobbin
Only one line is allowed to be wound on a bobbin.
8.4 Appearance of winding
The wire shall be wound on a bobbin without looseness or aberration.
8.5 Dimension of bobbin and packing case
The bobbin shall be used with Table 4.

9.Designation
The wire shall be designated by class and conductor dimension or by symbol and conductor dimensions.
Example: Polyamide-imide enamelled rectangular copper wire 0.5¡Á1.8mm or
SFT-AIWJ 0.5¡Á1.8mm.
10.Marking
The spool and container shall be marked at a specified place with the following items:
(1) Designation
(2) Manufacturing Lot number
(3) Number of the line
(4) Year and month of manufacture
(5) Manufacturer¡¯s code and checker¡¯s code
11. Packaging for Export
11.1 Packaging
Packed corrugated paper boxes shall be placed level in a wooden package for export, and packing not to be shaky. Polyethylene sheet shall be placed inside of the package.
11.2 Marking of the wooden Package
1) Serial number
2) Parts no., Designation, Nominal size, Bobbin number, Net weight, Gross weight.
12.Test report
One sheet of test report shall be attached to each manufacture lot.
13.Notes
13.1 storage methods
During storage, the wire shall be avoided from dust especially including metal, high temperature, high humidity and sunlight. If the storage more than two years, it should be checked again.
13.2 transport
During transport, the wire shall be avoided from collision, watering and upending.
13.3 using
Before the using, it should be made sure of type, nominal conductor.
14.If there is any question on this specification, it can be settled through negotiation between the purchaser and the supplier. This specification can be modified according to the agreement between both parties concerned.
